Die Koralle ist ein echter Hingucker, die Äste und Zweige sind dunkelrot und die expandierten Polypen leuchtend gelb.
Psammogorgia arbuscula kommt nur im tropischer Ostpazifik von Panama, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexiko und El Salvador vor,
